Company giving

We are incredibly proud to be associated with like minded companies who believe in what we do.

Partnering with Harlington Hospice and sharing your knowledge, skills and resources, will help us realise our vision, where everyone living with serious or terminal illness is treated as an individual and supported to live with their illness in a positive way.

We acknowledge that each company is different and therefore we aim to create unique partnerships that are mutually beneficial, whether this is a long term partnership, a one off donation or a volunteering opportunity.

Please do contact our Fundraising Team on fundraising@harlingtonhospice.org or 020 8106 9201 to discuss how your business can get involved.

Local Business Champions

Our Local Business Champion initiative is an opportunity for your company, whether large or small, to give back to your community. To become part of this initiative, your business must commit to donating a minimum of £300 per annum. This could be through regular monthly giving, a one-off donation, Charity of the Year partnerships, employee fundraising or donations in kind.

Reasons to be a Local Business Champion:

  • An opportunity to become a socially responsible citizen in your local community by supporting your local hospice.
  • Improved public image and increased visibility by aligning with a local charity that has over 40 years’ experience in your community.
  • Increased employee satisfaction, giving your staff the opportunity to get involved with and support activities that make a real difference in their community.
  • Increased customer loyalty as customers become aware of business involvement with a reputable charity that is empowering people living with serious or terminal illness.

Corporate Donations

Your company may choose to give an annual donation towards one or more of our services that we provide in our local community and demonstrate your commitment towards your corporate social responsibility goals.

“8build Ltd is truly passionate about giving back to the community; that is why, when we found out about Michael Sobell House’s desire to reopen their Inpatient Unit, we were determined to help in any way we could. This Inpatient Unit holds a special place in our hearts and so working closely with the charity to provide a new space for those in need was an easy decision to make!”
– Andy Tooley, Director, 8build Ltd

Charity of the Year

Make Harlington Hospice your company’s Charity of the Year by committing to focus your donations and fundraising for one year. Our team of fundraisers will work with you to develop a plan that will engage your employees, customers and suppliers. We will also help you to build recognition of your support.

Employee Fundraising

Your company can encourage employees to fundraise for and donate to our Hospice by committing to match any funding they raise through their own fundraising activities. They can take on one or more of our challenge events, i.e., marathons, half marathons and skydiving. Staff can also get involved by hosting fundraising events in the community such as bake sales or dress-down days.

We had a fantastic group of runners from Bishops Wood Hospital join our Royal Parks Half Marathon Team.

Donations in Kind

By donating gifts in kind, you can help our Hospice save money and reduce costs associated with operations and events. Every year we need to replace or replenish equipment that enables us to provide care and support to people living with serious or terminal illness. These include items such as special mattresses, fans, kitchen equipment and reclining chairs. We are often need prizes for our events so if you have stock that is appropriate, it would be most welcome.

Volunteering

Volunteering is a great opportunity to get your team together and have fun while making a difference in your local community.

We have a wide variety of volunteer roles available, whether it’s helping at one of our fundraising events, supporting us in our shop at weekends or helping with the maintenance and upgrading of our buildings, we can be flexible to meet your availability and interests.

Volunteering promotes teambuilding, giving your staff the opportunity to get out of the office, getting to know each other better and accomplishing tasks together.

Payroll Giving

Payroll Giving is a simple way for your staff to support their local Hospice. Employees can choose how much they’d like to donate each month.

Sponsorship

Sponsoring a Harlington Hospice event is an opportunity for you to promote your company within our local community. By sponsoring an event we can ensure that all funds raised from registration fees and donations go directly to our services which support people living with serious or terminal illness and those close to them.

If you would like more information about how you and your business can get involved please contact our Fundraising Team by emailing fundraising@harlingtonhospice.org or call 020 8106 9222

Why we need your support

As a charity only part funded by the NHS, every year we need to raise £2.4 million in voluntary income. It is only with the kindness of our supporters that we can be alongside our vibrant Hillingdon community at their time of need.

We know how important it is that people living alongside serious or terminal illness can access support that’s shaped around them, when and where they need it. Your donations allow us to keep our Hospice running every day, as well as go above and beyond for people experiencing the most vulnerable moments in their lives.
