IN-PERSON CREATIVE ARTS AT MICHAEL SOBELL HOSPICE

Open to those facing life-limiting or advancing illness, our creative arts aim to support emotional wellbeing and aid self-esteem.

STARTING 2022

CREATIVE CORNER – fortnightly on Wednesday mornings 10.30 – 12.00 for 8 sessions.

ART ON THURSDAYS – fortnightly on Thursday mornings 10.30 – 12.00 for 8 sessions.

These sessions provide for small groups (currently max 4 attendees per group) working on individual creative art projects, either your own or a guided project, as desired.  They are designed for enjoyment and relaxation and no artistic ability is required, just a willingness to “have a go”. All basic art materials are provided.

For those who wish to put their memories into words and/or images, we also offer the opportunity to work on creative ways to record memories through journal keeping and scrapbook making.

INDIVIDUAL SESSIONS:  If you cannot attend one of our groups, we are able to offer some individual sessions at Michael Sobell Hospice, or via Zoom, to include the following :

Guidance on creative art projects to do at home

Starting a scrapbook or journal of memories.

Advice and guidance on writing your memory/memories.

Support with writing letters to loved ones.
