Help us DOUBLE donations to Michael Sobell Hospice this Christmas – that’s the festive message from Michael Sobell Hospice Charity as it reveals it is taking part in The Big Give Christmas Challenge 2020, running from midday on Tuesday 1st to midday on Tuesday 8th December.

As part of the week-long campaign, supporters are being invited to make online donations to support the Hospice via The Big Give website, whereby any donation made will be DOUBLED – thanks to some generous supporters, including The Reed Foundation, who will match fund any donation until the Charity reaches its fundraising target. Simply put, a £5 donation becomes £10, a £50 donation becomes £100 – at no extra cost to the individuals, community groups or businesses making the donation!

Commenting on their Big Give Christmas Challenge, Michael Sobell Hospice Charity spokesperson, Lynne Fearne, said: “Covid-19 has had a huge impact on our patients and their families. To help make a difference to their lives this festive season, we are taking part in the UK’s biggest matched funding campaign, The Big Give Christmas Challenge. Our aim is to reach a total fundraising target of £7,500 during The Big Give Week which, with the matched funding, will bring our total to £15,000, making this festive season extra special for the patients and families who need the exceptional care and support provided at Michael Sobell Hospice.”

She added: “So, if you are thinking about making a donation to Michael Sobell Hospice this Christmas time, please remember to wait until Big Give Week to donate so it can be doubled. We’re asking all our supporters across the local community; from businesses, schools, community groups and organisations to get behind this our first campaign with The Big Give, so we can make a real difference for those in our care.”

The Charity would like to say a big thank you to their Big Give Christmas Challenge Campaign pledgers, along with Northwood Golf Club, Home Bar & Kitchen, Ickenham, and London-based, 8 Build, who have already pledged to donate to the campaign when it launches at 12pm on Tuesday 1st December, Giving Tuesday.
