Wellbeing Workshops Carers

These workshops incorporate a variety of simple to learn practices that you can use every day to enhance your coping skills and improve your ability to relax and centre yourself regardless of whatever is going on around you.  

The practices include Tai Chi, Mindfulness and a variety of meditation methods and exercises involving body, mind and spirit.

Each course runs for four consecutive weeks and each session lasts 2 hours. Each course is a closed group to enable the participants to feel comfortable working with each other.

The wellbeing workshops have been designed in response to feedback we have had during consultation with carers and broadly focus on issues that have been highlighted as common problems for carers.

Week 1      Managing stress

Week 2      Improving sleep

Week 3      Lifting mood

Week 4      Reinforcement of practices/special requests from group

In response to requests from participants in these workshops, we are now running a monthly “consolidation” group for people who have attended the Wellbeing Workshops and want to continue to develop the practices they have learnt and to learn new ones.
