Online Trading Manager - Charity Shops

We are seeking an Online Manager who can set up from scratch,then develop and grow our online business,based at our warehouse in Harefield, near Uxbridge. The online manager will work closely with our 11 Harlington Hospice, Michael Sobell and Age UK (Brent, Hillingdon, Harrow) charity shops in the north west of London.

This is a unique opportunity as the shops are owned by three charities who have decided to maximise the synergies of working together and it thus offers a great opportunity to develop your online and managerial skills and profile.

We are looking for someone who has substantial experience of selling online, preferably from the charity sector and who also has experience of managing a team of volunteers.

The person we need must have great leadership qualities, excellent people management skills and be someone who has shown they can maximise sales selling online

Charity Shop Area Manager

We are seeking an Area Manager who can manage the day to day running of our 11 Harlington Hospice, Michael Sobell and Age UK (Brent, Hillingdon, Harrow) charity shops in the north west of London, and who can be part of a team delivering our new retail strategy.
This is a unique opportunity as the shops are owned by three charities who have united to maximise the synergies of working together and it thus offers a great opportunity to develop your managerial skills.


We are looking for someone who is currently a charity shop Area Manager, or we will also consider applications from someone who has managed a charity shop for a number of years and who also has experience of managing a team of people from any sector.
The person we need must have great leadership qualities, excellent people management and change management skills and who has shown they can drive sales and profits.


We are expecting the charities commercial activities to grow substantially over the next few years, and it is expected that the person selected will grow with it to become a senior figure and leader.

Art Psychotherapist – Children and Young People

An exciting opportunity has come up for two HCPC registered Art Psychotherapist to work within an innovative, specialised bereavement service for Children and Adolescents at Harlington Hospice. (one role 18 month fixed term contract and one role Maternity cover contract which is expected to last 12 months)

The post is funded by ‘BBC Children in Need’ in response to the COVID-19 Global pandemic with specific objectives and outcome requirements over an 18 month period. The project will fund 1-1 individual sessions, groups and structured online/remote art therapy sessions. It will involve working with children and young people ages 4 – 17 who have recently been bereaved, facing bereavement, living with someone with a life limiting illness and have experienced the impact of Covid-19.

You will also work closely with colleagues as well as partners in the Local Authority, Children and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS), educational teams and other relevant health professionals.

You will have worked with children, young people and families in hospice, hospital or bereavement service settings.

You will have excellent administrative skills, communication skills and written skills as well as experience in managing your own casework. The role requires flexible working times, sessions often take place after school hours, and you will have availability on Saturdays.

It is essential that you have up-to-date HCPC accreditation

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a highly talented team that provides Palliative and End of Life Care at Michael Sobell Hospice. The team operate a 10 bedded Inpatient Unit providing care for people with an advanced progressive illness in order to improve their quality of life and support their families. The team works in a multi-disciplinary, integrated way to offer the best possible holistic care. We offer a full training programme and support for all our staff.

Hours: Full time/Part-time considered
