Patient and Family Palliative Social Worker

Job Description: The Patient and Family Social Worker role at Harlington Hospice involves providing practical and emotional support to patients, relatives and carers at Harlington Hospice. Issues such as finances, housing, future care, and advocacy will be key areas of the role.

The role will require the ability and provision for driving between sites, a full driving licence will be essential.

Location: Lansdowne House (Hayes and Harlington) and Michael Sobell House (Northwood) as well as in clients homes and community settings. 

Working Hours: 15 hours/week

Salary: £36 – £40k pro rata

Reports to: Principal Lead of Psychological and Emotional Services (PES).

Registered Nurse

Job Description: Registered Nurse with an interest in Palliative Care and End of Life Care, responsible for delivering a high standard of care to everyone staying at our 10 bed Inpatient Unit.

Location: Inpatient Unit at Michael Sobell House, Mount Vernon Hospital

Working Hours: 37.5 hours/week (part time hours considered)

Salary: NHS Band 5 equivalent (Existing NHS pensions honoured or workplace pension available)

Job Description: You will assist the Harlington Care Manager by undertaking referrals and assessments, working in partnership with external agencies to ensure clients needs are met. Ensure that client and carer needs and circumstances are appropriately assessed and reviewed and these are reflected in care plans and care delivery. 

Location: Clients own home, in the London Borough of Hillingdon and Hounslow.

Working hours: Full time and part time positions available. 

Agreed between employee and manager upon successful appointment.

Salary: £11.95 weekdays £13.09 weekends, £16.20 bank holidays

Ealing Carers Partnership 

The Ealing Carers Partnership is a partnership between our Harlington Care Team, Carers Trust Hillingdon, and Ealing and Hounslow Community Voluntary Service.

Thanks to a new contract with Ealing Council, the Ealing Carers Partnership (ECP) has a number of exciting new roles available:

Ealing Carers Services Manager

Salary: £35k-£38k, full time. 

Outreach and Engagement Officer

 Salary: £27k-29k, 28 hours/4days per week

Two x Wellbeing Development Officers

Salary: £27k-£29k, 28 hours/4days and 21 hours/3 days respectively

Workforce & Organisational Development Manager

Job description: You will lead the development and delivery of the People Strategy, to   support the achievement of Harlington Hospice’s vision and  strategic objectives. And ensure these are delivered by   motivated and appropriately skilled staff and volunteers whose   values reflect those of the organisation.

Location: Lansdowne House Harlington, Hayes, UB3 5AB and Michael Sobell Centre, Mount Vernon Hospital, Northwood. 

Semi regular travel to both locations will be required. Primary working location to be agreed on appointment.

Working hours: part time, 22.5 hours a week

Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 per annum, pro rate (some flexibility depending on experience). 

Reports to: Chief Executive
