Your events help fund the care we provide
Your generosity truly makes all the difference. we simply couldn’t do what we do without our supporters.
Thanks to incredible people like you who take part in our events, join our hospice lottery, and host their own fundraising events, we are able to continue offering care and support to individuals and families when they need it most.
We would love to hear what amazing ideas you have for your own event and our team will support you every step of the way.
Type of events
We have a community of supporters who organise and host their own events to raise money to support those in our community living with a serious or terminal illness.
Some events are organised by local community groups such as sports clubs, churches and pubs but the majority are organised by individuals to honour or remember a special person who has received care and support from our team.
Events range include bake sales, coffee mornings, sky dives, sporting events, quiz nights and themed parties to name but a few.
Supporting you and your fundraising event
Once you decide that you would like to arrange an event, our Fundraising Team are on hand to advise and support you with your awareness and your fundraising goals.
We can also provide you with advise, brochures, reading materials about our work and collection tins.

Adding your event to JustGiving
You can create your own fundraising event or activity for Harlington Hospice and Michael Sobell House on Just Giving’s events section .
JustGiving charges 0% platform fees on all donations provided to us. This mean that ever penny raised and donated on Just Giving will go directly to support people in Hillingdon through Harlington Hospice services and our inpatient hospice, Michael Sobell House.

Why we need your support
As a charity only part funded by the NHS, every year we need to raise £2.4 million in voluntary income. It is only with the kindness of our supporters that we can be alongside our vibrant Hillingdon community at their time of need.Â
We know how important it is that people living alongside serious or terminal illness can access support that’s shaped around them, when and where they need it. Your donations allow us to keep our Hospice running every day, as well as go above and beyond for people experiencing the most vulnerable moments in their lives.
