Light up a Life
You can watch our Light Up a Life Ceremony 2025 below.
The ceremony was filmed and live streamed at 4pm on Sunday 30 November 2025 at Michael Sobell House.
Our Light Up a Life ceremonies are non-denominational and include comforting words from our medical team, alongside special readings and beautiful songs. The ceremony culminates in the lighting of our tree, decorated with dedications in memory of those who are no longer with us.
Our next Light Up a Life Ceremony will take place on Sunday 6 December 2026.
Further details will be shared closer to the time, and we warmly invite you to join us then.
If you would like to make a donation to Michael Sobell House or Harlington Hospice you can do so using the ‘make a donation’ button.
We invite local residents and our wider communities to ‘leave a dedication’ for a loved one. When a dedication is left you are able to share a message and upload a photo if you wish to do so.
Thank you to everyone who have attended our Light Up A Life Ceremony in previous years. We hope that you found them both moving and healing. You can watch videos from the last three years below.
If you’d like to find out more, please contact our Fundraising Team on fundraising@harlingtonhospice.org.
As a charity, although we work well with our local NHS teams, only about 50% of our costs are funded by the NHS. Every year we need to raise at least £2.1 million to keep our hospice services running. It is thanks to the generosity of our supporters that we can continue to stand alongside our vibrant Hillingdon community when they need us most.
We know how important it is for our patients, their families and loved ones to receive compassionate care and support that is tailored around their needs, in the place and at the time that is right for them. Every donation helps us provide that care each day, while also enabling us to go above and beyond for people and families during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
