Legs 11

Legs 11 is open to people who are living with chronic leg swelling (lymphoedema) and supports with the self-management of this condition.

It is an open community group which encourages peer support and solidarity.

As this group is part of the lymphoedema treatment plans we offer we do request that everyone attends at least 4 group sessions.

When:

Every 1st Thursday of the month on a drop in basis between 10:00 – 14:00

Where:

These sessions offer the following each month:

  • Peer support – an opportunity for people to meet each other on a social basis.
  • Education – learn how to manage your condition, including skin care, compression, and how the lymphatic system works.
  • Exercise – join a short and fun exercise session that everyone can have a go at, regardless of ability.
  • Nursing support – an opportunity to troubleshoot any problems with your treatment plan and to review compression garments.
  • Emotional support.
