Today marks the start of Hospice Care Week 2021, an annual campaign to raise awareness about the importance of hospice care organised by Hospice UK – and Michael Sobell Hospice (MSH) is encouraging everyone to GO YELLOW during the week!

Commenting on the campaign, Michael Sobell Hospice Fundraising Lead, Community & Events, Linda Moore, said: “Hospice Care Week is about creating awareness of how important end of life care is for people in our local area, and nationwide. It’s also an opportunity for us to raise much needed money so that we can continue to ensure that every patient experiences a journey towards end of life that is peaceful, comfortable and free from worry and pain.

“We really want the local community to get behind the campaign, so all we need everyone to do is buy a ‘I’m going yellow for my local hospice’ sticker (£1 each), and get your friends, colleagues, family, and school involved, in ‘going yellow’ for Michael Sobell Hospice. You can purchase stickers on our website, in our Hospice shops in Northwood and Eastcote, or from our Fundraising Office.

She added: “Why not wear your funkiest yellow outfit to work, or just accessorise with yellow for a day, in support of Hospice Care Week.”

The Michael Sobell Hospice Fundraising team, along with Hospice staff and volunteers, will be supporting the week by wearing yellow on Wednesday 6th October, and MSH shops in Northwood and Eastcote will be sporting yellow window displays.
