Harlington Care

Our Harlington Care Team supports people living with diverse health and social care needs to live each day in their own homes.

Harlington Care is our daytime care at home and respite service for adults across Hillingdon. We now also offer a carers respite service in the Boroughs of Hounslow and Ealing.

Care at home

Our personal, home care service assists individuals with day to day tasks. This might include washing and dressing, moving around in and out of the home, and taking medication. We form a strong relationship with those who are supported by us.

Through conversation, we learn ‘what matters most’ to each person and when it is suitable to do so, have new experiences outside of their home and visit places that they love.

This service is free. It is funded by Continuing Health Care or Social Services in Hillingdon

Additional caring costs

Additional personal care at home in Hillingdon

If someone would like additional care to the care provided we are able to arrange this. Additional care can be funded by Direct Payments or self-funded privately.

The costs for additional support in Hillingdon is £27.50 per hr Monday-Friday, £30.00 per hr at the weekend and £32.50 per hr on Bank Holidays.

Supporting unpaid carers

We support carers to have respite breaks from their caring role giving them free time to focus on some of the other things that are important to them. Having a respite can lead to improved feelings of overall wellbeing.

Whilst having respite time might be used to visit other friends and family members, doing a ‘big’ shop in the supermarket, visiting the doctors, attending a carer support group, having a haircut or just getting some rest at home.

We will do our best to provide the same team member each week. This can help ensure that a strong and meaningul relationship is built up with the person being supported and any friends and family members involved with thier care..

The Harlington Care team works closely with our 24 hour, Hospice at Home team to provide compassionate end of life respite support throughout the day and night.

Carers short respite breaks Hillingdon, Hounslow and Ealing

We can provide free carers breaks for carers who are unable to attend day centres and when the carer doesn’t get any break from their caring role.
