Supporting you
We are here to support you and those you care about both in your home and within our hospice ‘Michael Sobell House‘.
Where you are supported and what type of support you would like is your decision. Everyone’s wishes and circumstances is unique. We provide care around the wishes and needs of each person. This is called ‘person-centred care’.
We provide person centred care through a range of services across the Hillingdon borough. Some of these services are medical, others include symptom management, wellbeing and physiological.
Supporting you with your diagnosis
A serious or terminal diagnosis affects people in different ways. It can often feel overwhelming and asking for support can be challenging for some.
It is OK to feel how you are feeling and it is OK to ask for support.
Our experienced wellbeing team and Psychological specialists are here to provide wellbeing, psychological and emotional support.

Wellbeing support
Wellbeing is an individualised feeling. It includes the physical, mental and emotional aspects of each person. Wellbeing is strongly linked to happiness and life satisfaction.Â
After a serious of terminal diagnosis, it is common and normal for overall feelings of wellbeing to decline. Hospice wellbeing services and support can be of value at this time.
All our sessions and activities are free and available at Lansdowne House, Michael Sobell House, in your home and online.
We offer a range of free services. These include:

Bereavement, psychological & emotional support
Psychological & emotional support can help improve overall feelings of wellbeing in adults, teenagers and children. Our support is holistic. This means that it is based around the unique needs, characteristics and experiences that make you, you.
